Thohoyandou - Serial rapist Jonas Kgabo Moshabi has been sentenced to 22 life sentences for raping 32 women, the National Prosecuting Authority said on Monday.He showed no remorse, pleaded not guilty, and was linked to all the attacks through DNA. Two victims identified him in the dock, NPA spokesperson Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi said in a statement.The Limpopo High Court sentenced him on Friday. He raped 32 women between 2005 and 2012. He was found guilty of a string of other crimes including attempted murder, housebreaking, robbery with aggravating circumstances, malicious damage to property, and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.He primarily operated in the Moletjie village in the Seshego district. He broke into homes at night to commit his crimes.Police selected a group of men from the area and took blood samples for DNA analysis. Moshabi was part of the group and was linked to the crimes.Prosecutor Lucas Davhana told the court that Moshabi had a series of previous convictions for violent crimes.Malabi-Dzhangi said Acting Judge Desmond Nair said he had not come across a case where women were so brutally raped and ruthlessly assaulted.
