Johannesburg - Three men accused of murder and robbery, have been arrested in Bulwer, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Monday.

They were arrested on Sunday in the Nkwezela area in possession of stolen items, said police spokesperson Thulani Zwane.

The men aged, between 22 and 32, allegedly attacked 56-year-old farmer Dan Knight and his wife at their home in Underberg on Thursday.

Knight's feet and hands were tied and his mouth was covered and he was assaulted until he died.

His wife was locked in the toilet, but later escaped through the window to alert her neighbours and the police.

The men stole a Toyota Land Cruiser, Isuzu bakkie, cellphone and three shotguns, said Zwane.

They would appear in the Himeville Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
