Johannesburg – Three people were injured in a daytime heist at a jewellery store in the East Rand Mall in Boksburg on Thursday.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said a man and two women had been assaulted by a group of armed men who stormed the shop.

"Paramedics, along with the police, immediately responded to the scene. Upon arrival, paramedics were led into the store where they found the three patients," he said.

The man and two women were found to have sustained minor injuries.

"Fortunately no other serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene."

The three were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to Life Glynnwood Hospital for further care.
