Johannesburg - Three men accused of involvement in a driver's licence scam were denied bail in the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, Ekurhuleni metro police said.

Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago said the matter was postponed for further investigation. A new court date could not be immediately provided.

A taxi driver was arrested on Thursday in the Kempton Park CBD for producing a fake driver's licence.

"The driver led police to two internet cafes where sophisticated computers, printers, scanners, official stamps and face value documents [blank form for vehicle registration and driving licences] were confiscated," Kgasago said.

Police closed down the internet cafes belonging to the men.
