3 people shot, wounded in shop robbery near Pretoria

Pretoria - Three people were shot and wounded during a business robbery in Olievenhoutbosch, west of Pretoria.

According to police, four armed suspects entered the shop on Tuesday night at about 19:30 while the 27-year-old owner was busy serving customers.

They pointed him together with his other employees and customers with a gun and took an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects fired a number of shots while they were fleeing the scene and injured three people, said Constable Tumisang Moloto.

The injured were people were taken to hospital. Moloto said it was not clear what had led to the shooting.

Police will investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. A case of business robbery is opened at Olievenhoutbosch SAPS for further police investigation, he said.
