4 Eastern Cape hijackers arrested

Johannesburg - An Eastern Cape man was wounded in a hijacking at the weekend, police said on Monday.

The 31-year-old man was stabbed and pulled from his car outside a tavern in Butterworth on Saturday afternoon, said police spokesperson Jackson Manatha.

"The crime was reported to the Butterworth police station and upon further investigation four suspects were arrested in Mthatha on Sunday," he said.

The vehicle was also recovered.

The four men would appear soon in the Butterworth Magistrate's Court.
