4 arrested for drug possession in Cape Town

Cape Town – Four people were arrested for possession of drugs worth more than R250 000 in Cape Town, police have said.

The suspects, aged between 29 and 35, were arrested during an operation in Lanfghom Flats, Kloof Street in Cape Town on Saturday, police spokesperson Constable Noloyiso Rwexana said.

They will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's court on Monday after they were found with over R55 000 in cash, dagga worth an estimated street value of R250 000, ecstasy tablets worth R6 400, tik packets and three containers of liquid acid worth R180 000.

Rwexana said police also confiscated laptops and cellphones.
