4 arrested in Kimberley dagga bust

Kimberley – Northern Cape police have arrested three men and a woman for allegedly dealing in dagga and other drugs in Kimberley.

Following a tip-off, police raided a house in Lerato Park, outside Kimberley, and arrested a 30-year-old man on Monday evening, Lieutenant Sergio Kock said on Wednesday.

Police found 12 bags of dagga, weighing 33kg, with an estimated street value of R161 000, stashed under his bed.   

In the second raid, police arrested a woman and two men at a house in Colville, where 10 sachets of Khat and 17 sachets of Tik, with an estimated street value of R2 700, were found.  

The four would appear in the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court soon.
