4 killed as bus, truck collide on N1 in Western Cape

Cape Town - Four people were killed when a bus and truck collided on the N1 between Beaufort West and Leeu-Gamka in the Western Cape on Thursday morning.

The accident occurred between 02:00 and 03:00 on Thursday morning, Western Cape traffic spokesperson Kenny Africa told Eyewitness News.

One woman and three men were killed, reported SABC News. Thirty-two bus passengers sustained minor injuries.

By about 06:00, a stop and go operation was still in place because one lane of the highway had been closed to traffic.
