6 held for mob justice killing

Johannesburg - Six people were arrested on Tuesday morning following a mob justice killing in Libode, Eastern Cape police said.

An 18-year-old was allegedly breaking into a house in Zandukwana when he was caught and attacked, Warrant Officer Dineo Koena said.

"He sustained serious injuries and died at the scene."

The six, aged between 24 and 52, were arrested after the matter was reported to the police.

They would appear in the Libode Magistrate's Court soon.
