Johannesburg - Eighty-five children have been reported missing since the beginning of the festive season, according to a media report on Saturday.

There was a slight increase to the number of children reported missing for the month of December, Lieutenant-Colonel Stephanus van Deventer told the Saturday Star.

However, he added that the number of children missing this year was lower than in the previous.

Van Deventer is the section commander for the SA Police Services bureau for missing children.

He said that more than a thousand children had been reported missing over the past year, about 60% of them were girls.

Twelve children were also abducted last year.

"We must keep in mind that some of these abductions were family abductions which means that the child was taken by a non-custodial parent after a divorce," van Deventer said.

I really hope in my heart of hearts that no human trafficking was involved, which sadly, it was, there is a line we need to draw, if the people in charge won't, we have to, it's an almost divine responsibility, there's just a point when you just cant sit on the sideline and watch pure evil do its thing unabated. They have to die, each and every one of them, the traffickers, the cops bought over, the purchasers, all of them do NOT deserve to live one second more, they don't deserve judicial justice, they deserve God's fury, their souls must be submitted for processing immediately. We cannot be allowed to be reasonable with these "people" who commit these crimes, we need to strengthen our policies and our resolve regarding trafficking today, immediately.
