Johannesburg - The two men charged with the murder and robbery of a 65-year-old businessman are back in police custody after appearing in the Belfast Magistrates' Court on Monday, Mpumalanga police said.

Saul Mavimbela, 19, and Marcus Mmadi, 22, were arrested for the murder of Petros Walkingshaw on 11 April, said Colonel Leonard Hlathi.

Walkingshaw was shot and killed outside his shop during closing time. He was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money.

The two men were arrested in Siyathuthuka, Belfast on Friday.

Police found a firearm.

"The firearm believed to have been used to kill the victim was found and it will be sent in for ballistic testing," said Hlathi.

The men would appear in court on 29 April for a formal bail application.
