Biker injured in KZN

Johannesburg - A motorcyclist is in a critical condition in a KwaZulu-Natal hospital after being flung from his bike in Groutville, paramedics said on Sunday.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Derrick Banks said the middle-aged man was travelling along the N2 freeway on the north coast on Sunday morning when he lost control of his motorbike.

The man sustained critical head injuries and was airlifted to Umhlanga hospital for treatment.

It was not clear what caused the accident.
