Another cyclist, people can you look out for cyclist when you driving. Most of us its a hoppy. Deepest sympathy to the family.

      Was a motorbike and what's a hoppy?

Elbie, most of us do keep to speed limits because we bought bikes for fuel economy and if you speed it becomes more expensive than driving with a car. I promise you that 90% of vehicles passing me when i do 120km/h is cars!

very sad. As a biker myself I see it as a personal responsibility to always pay attention to other people around me. Sadly, this isn't always possible. May he eternally ride with the sun in his face and the wind at his back.

Why do motor cyclists think that the speed limit is NOT for them but only for cars. They scream past you and weave in and out of lanes with no respect for other road users.

      Francois - 2012-04-15 16:49

Because we can!! Not all of us are maniacs but a few fellow riders is giving us a bad name.

The man that passed away was one of our friends and he was not a reckless biker. He loved his bikes and used them mainly to commute and save petrol.Get your facts straight before you lable a stranger and find them guilty! not all bikers are reckless adrenaline junkies!

a story for all motorists, i am a motorcycle rider, i obey the speed limit as much as you do. The other day while i was sitting in traffic with you motorists a woman in her corsa hatchback drove up next to me. I was in the middle of the lane as was legally my right. The next roadway exit was more than a kilometer away but she found it okay to drive in the emergency lane next to me IN TRAFFIC!!! If you are not outraged by that as a motorist you need to start wondering why. Maybe you just hate bikes and are explaining away your murderous intent.....

      radlegend - 2012-04-17 11:02

I agree!! Some motorists drive with plain diregard to bikers. Absolutely disgusting.
