Bodies found on Western Cape beach

Cape Town - The bodies of a man and woman were found on a beach in Hartenbos, Western Cape police said on Thursday.

Captain Bernadine Steyn said a passerby discovered the bodies of Magriet Seekoei, 21, and Fritz Claassen, 65, around 13:00 on Wednesday near the Hartenbos river mouth, about 40km from George.

Each had a gunshot wound to the chest. A 9mm pistol was found nearby.

An inquest docket was opened.

    Hartenbos is right next to Mosselbay and a few kilos further away to George if you are looking for a biggish town. Why use Cape Town as place of reference....news24 you need to wake up.

      It does say \Cape Town\ at the beginning. But I think that must be where the source of the story came from.

      Hey, go easy on Louis here oukes, if anything Hartenbos would be on the East Cape Coast, you know, the other Western side ;)
