Johannesburg - A bogus doctor who fooled job seekers was ordered by the KwaZulu-Natal High Court to close down his college in eTafuleni near Durban, the provincial health department said on Wednesday.

Simphiwe Zondo claimed to be a doctor and recruited job seekers to be trained as nurses and doctors at the Inanda College of Wellness, department spokesperson Chris Maxon said in a statement.

"These students lived under very unhygienic conditions which were a danger to themselves and the nearby communities."

Maxon said a joint task team involving health officials from eThekwini Municipality, the department of health and the police worked together to ensure that the illegal operation was shut down.

Students were charged R3 500 to undergo training.

It happens every day in this country - why? Because South Africa is a breeding ground for suckers with money. Please stop the excuses for these pathetic suckers who are prepared to study medicine in a slum. Bogus everything is good business in SA because pathetic suckers are readily available. To show how sorry I am for these suckers - it serves them right!
