Johannesburg - Suspended National Prosecuting Authority prosecutor Glynnis Breytenbach plans to go to court to have her suspension lifted, the NPA said on Saturday.

"We confirm that we have been served with papers by her legal representatives wherein they apply to the Labour Court to set aside her suspension," said spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga.

The NPA had 10 days to respond.

Breytenbach was suspended in April for conduct relating to cases allocated to her, according to the NPA.

According to reports, she was responsible for, among other cases, the fraud case against crime intelligence boss Richard Mdluli, but the NPA has denied any link between her suspension and Mdluli.

I do hope this lady shows the powers-that-be how fed up society is of corruption and cover ups. Democracy and the values of SA (as in the constitution) are suffering under our current leaders.

She should get Mduli lawyer to help her. In the meantime get you work outfit together for Monday. Ironic that a possible criminal can get his job back, but this woman has sinister forces pushing her out. Possibly the same ones that got Mduli his job back.
