CT man murdered in holiday home

2012-10-23 11:00

Cape Town - A Cape Town investment manager was found murdered in his holiday home, it was reported on Tuesday.

The Cape Times reported that Alexander Otten, 53, was found dead at his ransacked holiday home near Velddrif on Saturday.

Otten, owner of Northstar Asset Management, had his hands and feet tied and a plastic bag over his head. He also had a head wound.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer November Filander said the motive for murder was linked to the robbery of his household goods.

According to the report, investigators found footprints at the back of the game lodge, Vlamink Vlei A, leading to the beach.

Two suspects, aged 22 and 26, were arrested in St Helena Bay on Monday and will appear in the Vredenburg Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

SAVAGE BRUTES!!!!! Why cant they leave us alone?????

The problem here, is that many of these opportunistic robberies turn into senseless murders because the young tsotsis don't want to be identified. So instead of just fleeing with the stolen goods, they feel they have to murder the people who saw them as well. It's how they view the value of human life. Rather kill whole families who saw them, so that they can get away with a cell phone. Disgusting, like animals actually.

Another senseless murder. My condolences to his family. Genocide disguised as crime. Soon we will all be gone and only the animals will be left

      ann.murray.9279 - 2012-10-23 13:06

Sadly, I don't even think the animals will be left. There is something about bloodlust that just never seems to be satisfied ...

Stupid murderers, caught so quickly. Prisons are full of dummies. Pappa wag vir julle

  • hermann.hanekom - 2012-10-23 11:36

If found guilty I hope they will be removed from society permanently, but my guess is unfortunately they will be out sooner than later. Interesting how violent crime escalated since the ANC government successfully disarmed most legal gun owners and Gun Free South Africa is all quiet regarding the illegal fire arms.

I know this sounds ludicrous, but hear me out... What if the international powers that be, innitiate a 'CULTURE SWOP', whereby all white, Indian & coloured Africans (those that feel their lives are threatend by a so called genocide), get taken out of Africa & stratigically placed in the likes of the US, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, etc... & all the 'Africans' from those countries get brought back to fill the whites, indians & colourd's positions & likewise overseas???? Wouldn't that put a stop to racial violence, as the all the blacks from elsewhere & here would graciously have their continent back & live a fruitfull life - racial incident free????? Just a thought, use it - don't use it...! But remember, what might sound off the charts today, could very well be the desired answer tomorrow... Especially with whats happening under our noses, worldwide!!!!

  • johann.enslin.9 - 2012-10-23 12:30

Kill them before they kill you. Shoot first. If they are on your property you have to assume they are there to kill you.

  • louise.manchip - 2012-10-23 12:34

Alexander was my uncle - this is such a terrible and tragic time! He would have given those evil people everything and anything, yet they still took his life! RIP

  • nico.leroux1 - 2012-10-23 12:35

    My country!! Oh the pain!!

  • sandra.marrai - 2012-10-23 12:35

Bring back the death penalty. Murderers will continue doing what they do as they know nothing will happen to them. They will go to prison for a while and then let free. In that time they will have a roof over their heads, be fed three times a day and live a better life than they would if they were in the streets

  • zelda.dickson - 2012-10-23 12:38

They can feed them to the sharks in false bay.

  • jocelia.petrick - 2012-10-23 13:05

  • jean.diesel.1 - 2012-10-23 14:03

If i understood correctly, if they voted for THE UNFIT president in then he would of brought the DEATH PENALTY back !!!! WHATS HAPPENING !!!!!!

  • michael.freeman.16752 - 2012-10-23 16:46

They can't bring back the death penalty. The ANC will have no one to vote for them.

  • rayno.grever - 2012-10-23 18:12
