Cape Town – A Camps Bay jewellery store became the latest victim of carefully planned robberies in Cape Town, after brazen robbers targeted the store in broad daylight, according to reports.

Cape Argus reported that the staff of Manfred Karner Designer Jewellery Studio were left traumatised as gunman barged into the store on Wednesday morning smashing display cabinets and taking their most precious jewels.

Angelique Pretorius, a part-time staff member, told the daily newspaper that the thieves knew exactly where to go and what to take.

Over a week ago a jewellery store in Blue Route Mall in Tokia was robbed when several armed men smashed the windows of the display cases with hammers, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of goods.

Blue Route Mall was also a target in 2014, when a cellphone shop was held up and robbed of several items and cash.

In January, a jewellery store in Kalk Bay was hit when thieves made off with an undisclosed amount of goods.
