Cape Town ATM bombed

Cape Town - An automated teller machine (ATM) was bombed in Mitchell's Plain, Cape Town, early on Tuesday morning, Western Cape police said.

Warrant Officer November Filander said four people detonated explosives at a petrol station ATM in Caravelle Street, Rocklands.

The machine was badly damaged, but no money was taken. The gang fired shots and fled the scene in a white Toyota Camry.

No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.
