Cape Town fires leaves several homeless

Cape Town - Six people were left homeless after a fire destroyed a shack in Delft, the Cape Town disaster risk management said on Monday.

Spokesperson Wilfred Solomons-Johannes said the fire started on Senegal Street at 20:00 on Sunday.

A backyard dwelling was destroyed, displacing a family.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was unknown.
