Cape Town - Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille is offering a R25 000 reward for anyone with information on the whereabouts of missing Shasha Lee November.

The 6-year-old from Hanover Park went missing from near her Groenel Walk home last Sunday.

“My heart goes out to the mother and family of this young girl and I would like to add to her appeal for anyone who knows about Shasha’s whereabouts to please come forward,” De Lille said.

“As a mother, I cannot imagine the trauma that her family must be going through. It is my hope that we can find this little girl soon.

“As such, I am offering a R25 000 reward for any information that will lead to finding Shasha Lee and to the resultant arrest and conviction of the guilty parties.”

Last week locals took to the streets of Hanover Park and the neighbouring farmlands to search for the missing child, affectionately known as Meisie. No trace of her was found.

These searches have since been called off, community leader Ricardo Sedres told News24.

“Now we are holding on to the hope that she is still alive. We gather outside her home every night to pray for her safe return. There is not much else that we can do.”

Anyone with information can contact Constable Keith Wakefield on 083 4714 716 or 021 376 9850, Crime Stop on 08600 10111, or alternatively send an SMS to CrimeLine on 321 111.
