Cape Town teen arrested for murder

Cape Town - A 19-year-old youth was stabbed to death in an argument in Bellville, Cape Town, police said on Tuesday.

Warrant Officer November Filander said the teenager and a 17-year-old youth got into a fight at Kasselsvlei High School around 15:30 on Monday.

The fight continued after school when the 19-year-old was stabbed three times in the back. He died on the scene.

Filander said the 17-year-old handed himself over to the police and was arrested.

    Time for the Justice System to start delivering appropriate sentences. Fit the crime. In this case, Life without the possibility of Parole would be a good start. Throw in Hard Labour. As for the Lawyers for Human Rights - start considering the Rights of the deceased and their family. Once we start getting effective sentences, we MAY see things getting better !!!!!

    This is a very sad story - violence is not the solution. I wish these kids had a different way to express themselves...

      and btw this is not about dissing the cape , I lived there for a good 9 years and enjoyed it . Survived Pagad in salt river ,the bomb scare at a tygervally pub , the late express train to Bellville ,my nissan skyline's ( cape favourite) attempted theft , chased by thugs in Belhar and Mbekweni .
