      Gerhard - 2012-02-09 09:57

@ Peter, Philemon said something along the line of the rich white madam getting bored and going to smoke dagga on the mountain with her boyfriend. Philemon is such a knob!!

      Monique - 2012-02-09 07:28

Why don't the people giving thumbs down shed some light on why they do not agree with tmaphosa1 's comment?! cowards.

      Monique - 2012-02-09 07:29

Oh wait maybe it's Philemon and his fellow crims....

  • meredith.r.pollock - 2012-02-08 16:27

@ Philemon go play in the traffic you moron, such an uncalled for comment, damn this Juju mentality & ignorance is getting so annoying now!!! Maybe this woman is getting early alzheimers or something that could explain leaving everything behind & just going off, we won't know until she's been checked out, but what matters is she is safe..

  • Callum - 2012-02-08 16:41

    Philemon LOL.

  • Lehlohonolo - 2012-02-08 17:03

maybe she has a mental condition

      colin.dovey - 2012-02-08 17:55

Could be early onset of Alzheimers......not pleasant.

  • derekneilmaclachlan - 2012-02-08 17:12

Remember the guy who gave his Audi to the table mountain car guards and eventually killed himself?? Who knows why people do things like this.....Maybe she had just had enough with everything and everybody....glad she is ok.

  • hiebner - 2012-02-08 17:14

TG her family must be so relieved.

  • Trevor - 2012-02-08 18:03

  • Alicia - 2012-02-08 18:04

Think they deleted the trolls comment!!! Hi5!!!

      Peter - 2012-02-08 18:40

One thing about trolling, there are always responses. Thats why they do it, attention seekers.

  • TaniaSandraSteyn - 2012-02-08 18:29

It sounds like she may be suffering from depression. I am glad she was found, and I hope she gets the love and attention that we all want from our fellow man. As to the rude troll issue: Don't even bother replying - simply report the comment immediately.

  • Trevor - 2012-02-08 18:33

Glad news24 deleting the "wrong" sayers....about time they did their homework for what they getting paid for... "those trolls" suc BIG time on "any" comment

  • Dumblabrat - 2012-02-08 18:35

  • Shahied - 2012-02-08 23:28

Let her elope if she want to !!

  • aardvarkie - 2012-02-09 01:29

Happy to hear she is okay, I hope she recovers fast. No wonder there's so much depression around, judging by some of the twisted comments (thankfully most deleted). I just don't understand the lack of compassion some people have.

  • jruppersberg - 2012-02-09 06:25

That's one hell of a walk from Westlake to the top of Table mountain where the dam is.

  • Cristina - 2012-02-09 07:16

Thank God she was found alive!!!!!

  • Henning - 2012-02-09 08:21

The story is quite vague, and it still made headlines....seriously guys!

  • Jannie - 2012-02-09 08:25

fine her! so many of you blasted jeb corliss, yesterday i see on CNN, people paragliding off the mountain.. should they not be fined too?

  • BuzzM - 2012-02-09 08:31

What a shoddily-written article! Do you reporters not do any leg-work anymore? Is the woman alive and well? If so, did she just get lost or did she run away because she didn't want to celebrate her birthday? Did you just copy and paste this from somewhere else? I hope you didn't get paid for this article!

      Sharon Van Wyk - 2012-02-09 15:56

I totally agree. There was very little information reported. Did the reporters just get bored!

  • candice.raley - 2012-02-09 08:32

Glad that they found her and she was alive.

  • margaret.mead1 - 2012-02-09 08:49

I'm so glad she was found alive. I guess there's more of a story here, but the main thing is that she's safe now.

  • Nasiefa - 2012-02-09 08:51

what happened how did she just go missing ?? who kidnapped her??? or did she just run off on her own ?

  • Olivia - 2012-02-09 09:05

What on earth was she doing on the mountain?? Is she quite with it??...mentally??? Fortunately she's unharmed.

  • Dianne - 2012-02-09 09:18

So pleased she was found and is ok. Well done Metro Rescue personnel.

  • Frank - 2012-02-09 10:09

All she wanted was a no fuss birthday celebration.Happy birthday, nice to have you back.

  • Rudolph - 2012-02-09 10:35

First I'd look under the bed, if not there, I'd tackle the mountain immediately. Don't know why they left the mountain till last.

  • Romy Vietri - 2012-02-09 10:57

Once again a big thank you to everyone involved for finding our mom. She is currently in ICU and in very good hands. The whole scenario is still under investigation and we would all appreciate supportive comments right now. My mother is the most incredible and strong woman and deserves love and respect at this moment in time. To those people that have nothing nice to say, please show some compassion and put yourself in our shoes for just one second. This has been a very traumatic experience for all of us and I would really just appreciate your support and prayers.

      Dumblabrat - 2012-02-09 21:10

Romy I am delighted that your mom was found and airlifted to safety. It must have been a harrowing time for all of you and thank heavens she is ok. I haven't seen her in many years but I remember her as being a very strong lady and she will come through this with flying colours.

  • johann.erasmus - 2012-02-09 11:05

    well she is 55... alzheimers???

  • Grant - 2012-02-09 11:27

Congradulations to all involved in the rescue. I fear though the difficult part is ahead. Why did she get herself into that situation? My sister commited suicide in Aus just before Christmas 2010, 5 days before her birthday. My mother is broken and keeps saying "If only we'd been living closer".

  • larisha.toffar - 2012-02-09 11:29

  • Patsy - 2012-02-09 11:37

Well done, Metro Rescue!!! And dogs...

  • Monica - 2012-02-09 13:52

thanks god you wonderfull, in your hands we are safe keep the elders of this nation

  • Rebaone - 2012-02-09 17:51

thats good and i hope that she is doing well but the question that she has to answer is that: what was she doing at the mountain? The other thing is that she has to be checked mentally to see as to whether she is doing well upstairs or she was just looking for a quality time alone far from people.

  • Jayde - 2012-02-12 20:53

heavy days, maybe she just went for a jog and didnt realise how far she ended up pmsl! glad shes ok though
