Carriages destroyed in Cape train blaze

Cape Town - Four carriages of a Metrorail train have been destroyed by fire at Woodstock Station in Cape Town on Tuesday.

City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Theo Lane said the incident occurred just after 16:00, and there were no serious injuries.

The station is temporarily closed while mopping up operations and damping down of the burnt units are completed.

Fire and rescue vehicles are still on the scene.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known.

    at least there were no serious injuries,I feel sorry for metrorail either coz that will cost big to the company.
