Johannesburg - A 31-year-old woman appeared in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Monday for allegedly killing her husband, said Limpopo police.

The matter was postponed to February 28 for a bail application, said Constable Moses Molepo.

Borchas Maake reportedly shot James Maake, 45, during an argument on Saturday around 14:00 in Thoka village, near Polokwane, after accusing him of cheating.

She allegedly shot him three times with an unlicensed firearm.

The 45-year-old man was taken to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, said Molepo.

Maake was arrested on Saturday shortly after the shooting.
