Child porn man targeted divorced moms' kids

2014-07-17 10:03

Johannesburg - A Rustenburg man who targeted the young daughters of divorced mothers on social media to get nude photographs from them, has pleaded guilty to being in possession of child pornography, Beeld reported on Thursday.

Construction worker Anthony Louw hid under his lawyer's robes and was shielded by a friend to avoid being photographed by the media when he appeared in the Rustenburg Magistrate's Court for sentencing on Wednesday.

Beeld reported that the sexually enticing or explicit images were of young girls, some clearly going through puberty. One girl was reportedly 12.

Using the names "Shivon", "Chivonne" or "Chevonne", he befriended divorced women and then their daughters on BBM and WhatsApp, police spokesperson Captain Elsabe Augoustides said.

He flattered them and the girls later sent him photos of themselves posing naked - some in front of the name signs of Rustenburg schools.

He was arrested after a tip-off.

Augoustides said anyone else who suspected they were victims of Louw, could contact Warrant Officer Thinus Else in Rustenburg.

Louw's sentencing was delayed to 4 August.

These disgusting pedos are everywhere. LOOK AFTER YOUR KIDS PEOPLE AND IF THEY'RE UNDER AGE, MONITOR THEIR ONLINE INTERACTIONS!!! IT'S YOUR DUTY AS A PARENT!!!

      Liesl Fourie - 2014-07-17 16:41

Yes, it is the duty of the parents to teach their children how to use social media and the internet safely. If you read the article, it seems as though he befriended the mothers first and then started to target the daughters. If adults / parents are stupid enough to befriend total strangers online, then how are they going to teach their children and prevent their children from doing so? If we want to protect our children then I think we have to accept that teaching children about online / social media safety is not just the parents', but rather a combined responsibility shared by parents, teachers and the community as a whole..... it takes a village to raise a child.

Don't allow your under age kids to get connected to social media, whatsap, BBM, twitter, Facebook. That is what I do and the result is wonderful.

    Sick!

  • Mariana Senekal - 2014-07-17 10:16

What a sick world, or rather sick people. When will women and young girls realise you seldom befriend 'real' people on social media as bbm and whatsup!! If you look for trouble, you're sure to get it.

  • Philip Enslin - 2014-07-17 10:17

      Justin Edwards - 2014-07-17 10:46

These things must be placed in a room with the parents of these children and allow the parents to 'question' him...

Take this article, print it, show it to your kids. Educate them on social media and the dangers that go with it. This is a lesson for all of us. Teach your kids to be wise, especially if they are as young as 12 spend all day on their cellphones. I think you must be a really sick bastard to be turned on by child porn!!!

      Justin Edwards - 2014-07-17 10:44

      AGREED!

      Marko Lasene - 2014-07-17 23:52

I don't agree Shelley. What do you want to achieve printing and showing this abomination to your kids? Jut teach them to be wise a you said. Don't give the cellphones, don't let them go alone on internet. If they have school projects assist them or get an adult to assist them with online research. Sick people won't listen to you, they are sick and possessed by demons, your kids should. Keep them away from bad influence. My kids get their first cellphone when they turn 15, if they receive a cellphone as a gift I order them to give it to somebody else and I refund them the monetary value. I am a "bad" parent but my kids are safer. You don't need to browse porn site to see porn items. Give your kids free access to internet and you corrupt their mind.

I cannot imagine how girls are do not know posting nude pics is wrong or stupid, there is enough public notice and discussions regarding this, it's not stupidity or being lured unwantingly, it's being and looking for attention. These girls do know what they are doing and they do know the consequences.......this guy is a bottem feeder and deserves to be put down !!! But these girls , stupid silly media happy twits are more than happy to post their beautiful young bodies for a quick thrill....it's so sad... Parents get involved, discuss....be open, be available, don't say my child would never do that !!!!! Cause yes they will and do.....willingly.....scary/sad

  • Marko Lasene - 2014-07-17 23:56

Divorce is not an excuse. I am sure the husbands divorced these women for bad behaviour. Women, you have disappointed me. We talk we could entrust you with our gift from God.

  • Elvis Stuurman - 2014-08-04 19:36
