Johannesburg - A policeman was found dead in his vehicle at Marathon farm near Nelspruit, Mpumalanga police said on Wednesday.

Constable Mandla Masuku, 38, who was stationed at the Nelspruit police station, was found with a bullet wound in his head in a bushy area along the Lydenburg road on Tuesday, said police spokesperson Leonard Hlathi.

"Police officers who were patrolling the farm found his vehicle," said Hlathi.

Police believe that Masuku was murdered, as his firearm was not found at the scene.

May his soul rest in peace. Personally I find this kind of reporting very insensitive and inhuman. I can't help but wonder if his family has been notified of his untimely death. Earnings should not be seen superseding the very core principles of ubuntu, respect and humility. Amen!!!
