Cop killed in KwaMashu

2012-10-07 20:05

Durban - An off-duty policeman was shot dead in KwaMashu on Sunday, police said.

Colonel Jay Naicker said the officer was shot near KwaMashu's A-Section, not far from the KwaMashu police station.

Naicker said it was believed the policeman was visiting relatives in the area.

The motive for the shooting had yet to be determined. It was not clear whether he had been robbed.

Naicker said it could not be ascertained whether the shooting was related to the recent political tensions in the area.

The policeman is the second person to be shot dead in as many days since Friday's abduction of IFP councillor Themba Xulu.

On Saturday afternoon a woman wearing an IFP T-shirt was killed near Thembalihle station, less than a kilometre away.

You must have arrived yesterday from some foreign country to be this ignorant. You do not even look South African to me.You better quit your dull opinions and be grateful that we gave you a comfortable place to stay..away from barbaric genocides and rapes. In fact you should be fixing things in your own country or get enough info about this country before making crappy comments.

The violence is getting out of hand, since that useless Police Comissioner who should go to Jail for Marikana Massacre was appointed by that man from Nkandla.

If all these killings are due to politics or poverty related issues - we must think again as South Africans. If we are to sit down and look over Africa as a whole - you will find that South Africa suppose to lead in finance, education, health, inteligence, agriculture, security and good governance. The reasons are the following; 1. Its leaders struggled to get where things are today 2. It youth and women died in making the wrongs right 3. We got the means of becoming number one But a big BUT is that we easily forgotten where we are coming from, forgotten the way some people died the like of Banthu Steve Biko - looking for for this peace we are in today. The way Mandela, Sisulu even Zuma himself - not only in jail but also in the thick bushes of Africa, but today if we see the way things are happening we either take it for granted or we lack information. This democracy we are in today - we got it the hard way and if we don't understand it - some people will take over and that it either be the better or the worse. The idea of shooting, kidnapping, killing are all foreign ideas Africa don't believe in this - please please leave this culture let us grow and lead others in development.
