Johannesburg - A 27-year-old police constable shot and killed two sisters and then shot himself in Emdeni, Soweto on Sunday morning, Gauteng police said.

"The man shot the twin sisters - one was his girlfriend, before he shot and killed himself," Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said.

"He then shot and killed himself. The women had one bullet wound each to the upper body."

The motive for the shooting was not know.

He said the man was stationed at the Booysens police station.

Police opened inquest and murder dockets.

So , he shot the twin and realised it was not his girlfriend that he shot. So he went on to shoot the other one , then himself. Or he shot both of them at the same time, this is sad, world of guns

You are a fool John Nel

      Jaco Human - 2014-06-08 09:41

Not world of guns, guns don't kill people - people kill people. Look at the reality why was this man appointed in the SAPD. I think it more a problem with the people, training and monitoring in the SAPD. We have serious problems in the SAPD.

Pay cops enough i.e R15000 per month then there won't be cases like this.their soul must rest in peace all of them.

Oh! Lord why Lord? May the sisters souls rest in peace.

      Jackie Moon - 2014-06-08 11:46

What about the shooter's soul? Its likely that what he experienced in the line of duty had effects that spilled over into his conduct in his personal life.

  • Masesi Phawe - 2014-06-08 11:01

may the lord give the police official the mercy nd prayers,is to much for our sisters to die like this, holy spirit be with families of the deceased

      Jackie Moon - 2014-06-08 11:42

Can you prove that the deceased played no role in the circumstances leading up to this event?

      Langa Kapueja - 2014-06-08 12:18

Something tells me that the cop said a lengthy prayer before he shot himself...most suicidal killers do. I like the muslims ones even more, "Allahu Akbar!!!" It's so mellow dramatic but does nothing to heal the inflicted wounds of those left behind. Infact...It makes the world hate religion even more. The holy sprit should have shielded those victims in the first place...really¿ Think about it.

  • Thombela Ka Mjoli - 2014-06-08 11:10

Its a good i dea to love..But u need to have a room for disapointments...You cannot expect a 100% partner in this universe...otherwise there will be more unnecesary deaths

  • Boby Mohale - 2014-06-08 12:38

Now confused course in other media they said those women are stil alive.

  • Patrick Mashaba - 2014-06-08 12:52

Feel shame to those married or in love with police officers . The same firearm he carries on a daily basis will one day take your life together with children . Police officers are always stressed because of the working condition . More especially the junior police officers as they are the staff members doing most of the challenging work .

  • Esrol Hendricks - 2014-06-08 13:07

News24 get ur ducks in a row pls, the sisters are still alive !!
