Johannesburg - A constable accused of 15 rapes is due to appear in the Randburg Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, the Independent Police Investigative Directorate said.

The 30-year-old was arrested in mid-July and also faces an attempted rape charge, said spokesperson Moses Dlamini on Tuesday.

He had applied for bail and it was unsuccessful.

The rapes took place in Olifantsfontein and Tembisa area, and it was unclear when the crimes began.

Yes Nico. This is exactly why this country will never come right. You take any report to make fun of some black person. Zuma was never found guilty of rape. You and your supporters cause more damage to our beautiful country by ridiculing Zuma with your comments.

Hendrik, nowhere does Nico or the article say is a black constable

      Nigel - 2012-10-17 07:21

Hendrik - nothing can cause more damage to this country than the ANC have, nothing. The comments are more than justified. We currently have three groups in SA - 1) those who insist on burying their heads in the sand, 2) the blind ANC Votas who will vote ANC in spite of the visible devastation they have brought and continue to bring upon SA, and 3) those of us who are sick of it, will not leave SA, and want the rape and pillage of this country to stop. Don't attack us for having the B$lls to speak out.

This matter is a disgrace to society and is not a joke...it could happen to anyones family member.. by then it would have been too late to smell the coffee and the joke!

It was just a matter of time with the state of SAPS. Too many of these cops are on a power trip. I don't trust them, especially the one's at roadblocks aka bribe-collection zones

If you can't trust a cop then who can you trust? It's a shame that this country is run by criminals and employs criminals to police it. No wonder there is a mass exodus of emigration.
