Cops out in force at Bloem court

2012-12-18 10:43

Bloemfontein - There was a huge police and media presence at the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Tuesday ahead of the appearance of four people arrested on terrorism charges.

Earlier, police asked everybody to leave Court 19 so they could be searched before re-entering the room.

Magistrate Piet Bester then asked everybody to leave the court once again, saying the case he suspected everybody was there for would only start later in the day.

Bester said he only wanted people involved in cases on the roll in his court.

The possibility that the matter would be moved to another court, so the court's normal activities would not be disrupted, was also mentioned.

Free State police spokesperson Brigadier Billy Jones said the four men, aged between 40 and 50, would appear on a charge of treason and two other related charges of terrorism.

The newly-established Federal Freedom Party (FFP) said that at least two of the people arrested were believed to be members of their party.

National secretary Francois Cloete described the FFP as a "party that promotes self-determination of the Afrikaner/Boer people in a confederal political model".

Jones said more arrests were imminent.

This whole story from the beginning has been very watery in its details. What did they do? what are the details of the charges? These are already public record because they have been filed with the courts. Come News24 try doing some journo work.

Guilty until proven guilty by corrupt system.

      Billy - 2012-12-18 11:18

yea thats what i was thinking, very vague wishy washy details about this all the time. just 4 men that apparently did something or was going to do something... makes me think its all made up. so people like rofras.rassie can get worked up and feel the need to show loyalty to the anc/government

      jesibelle.krueger - 2012-12-18 11:23

How wonderful would SA not be if the police/legal-system spent the same amount of energy (and money) to catch real criminals..? Real criminals like the scum who rape and murder people, particularly defenseless people in remote rural areas, senior citizens who built the country that is now being destroyed, the scum in the government that is robbing SA blind while they are being kept in power by those parasiting on the taxes paid by the minority, etc. I would be VERY keen to see the (true - not the lies from the current communist terrorists in the SAcan government) statistics relating to the turn-around rate of criminal cases against white SAcan vs black SAcans - I have a distinct feeling that the cases against white SAcans are just so amazingly quickly- and effectively solved - very strange is it not..?

      Too early to comment sensibly.

      denise.ryan.5203 - 2012-12-18 11:52

Jason - A case in point of the maniacal paranoia of the Looney Left. Just over a year ago the so-called 'white rightwing terrorist' Willem Ratte and nine others were arrested during a police raid on his farm in Balmoral, Mpumalanga on Oct 1 2010 on ridiculous trump up charges. For those of you who remember the high level publicity in the ANC-news media about the so called 'white racist terrorist' Willem Ratte and the case of the raid on his farm with the so called “weapons-cache”; ‘child-pornography claims’ and ‘dagga-possession’ eagerly published by the news-media, yet they had no proof… - here’s something you won’t hear from the ANC-controlled news media as dramatically as they reported the white man’s arrest - the state quietly withdrew all the charges on September 24 2011 in Witbank court - a year later and at a huge cost to the taxpayer, the state’s case collapsed and the charges against Willem Ratte were withdrawn. The single state witness the government had disappeared without a trace. The government apparently reacted on “rumours”… Not a single word was written about it in the main stream media...

A setup to justify all this rubbish about right wing plots to kill? Go sort out Iraninan hitmen after vavi.

      Mvuselelo Mnguni - 2012-12-18 11:09

@ Gary, dont smoke before U comment,South Africa still have your uncles who won't stand the sight of Black Government.

      jesibelle.krueger - 2012-12-18 11:29

@Mvuselelo Mnguni, NO - it has nothing to do with a BLACK government - it has everything to do with not being able to stand the sight of the most obtuse, worthless, incompetent, corrupt, fat, lazy, meaningless, criminal government on earth. Let me assure you, if the ANC was able to govern a country, there would be NONE of this kind of thing (that is if anything actually happened - not as with the 'Boeremag' saga - everything planted by the police). You are as clueless as the goon you vote for...

  • Nicole Soccer-Babe Take - 2012-12-18 11:09

i really thought the Boeremag was 1st n last

      jesibelle.krueger - 2012-12-18 11:36

The 'Boeremag' saga is/was fake - the whole thing was orchestrated by the police themselves - there is a good chance that the entire case (or at least large parts of it) will be thrown out of court. It is simply the ANC trying to create a "WIT GEVAAR" syndrome.

Hoogverraad teen wat?? Belaglik.gaan vang eerder die mense wat ons mense op die plase vermoor!!!!!!

There really shoudn't be any extremists like this left here any longer! Wasted lives.

  • Brian Dorning - 2012-12-18 11:11

I'm not sure about the details regarding this case, but if any person breaks the law, regardless of race, they must be dealt with accordingly!

  • angelanair3 - 2012-12-18 11:14

And they got caught! I remember back in the day when the AWB were sent to blow up the ANC and the idiots blew up the CNA - they were dyslexic ha haha! But jokes aside - what were they thinking? The "swart gevaar" war is over - there are other ways of fighting - the ballot box - vote DA!!!

      truthis.tway - 2012-12-18 11:34

Actually you have swallowed the biggest lie. The majority of people want the ANC in power. Do we agree that this is a VERY bad idea? Then clearly the ballot is failing because the wrong government is being installed time and time again. By the time the ignorant realise their mistake there will be nothing left to save. Democracy is a sham. There is no way that some illiterate ignoramus' vote should count as much as mine.

      thato.seloane - 2012-12-18 11:42

Truthis. Isn't ignorant of you to always accuse people of ignorance simply by exercising their democratic right to freedom of association. Maybe you are ignorant to the fact the "ignorant" are choosing the government and leaders that they see work for them.

      truthis.tway - 2012-12-18 12:37

@Thato - Really? That work for them? AYFKM!!. The ignorant are believing the most convincing liars. And are not equipped to spot the lies. If someone votes ANC then they are stupid. Fullstop.

  • winifred.watson.9 - 2012-12-18 11:14

The ANC are afraid of their own shadow and its not surprising. This is a plot to ensure that the masses remain loyal to them by creating this bomb thing. They dont want the blacks to move away from the ANC so this is just a reminder of post apartheid. During Apartheid the whites lived with the threat of bombs for years, many innocent people lost their lives or were maimed, so like apartheid has just reversed, maybe so has the fear of being bombed, I honest believe, the ANC is running scared........remember, what goes around comes around.

      sandile.shongwe.180 - 2012-12-18 11:33

How is what's happening now 'reverse apartheid'? Maybe I'm dumb (since I support ANC), and you are white (and way smarter than me). Please tell me how is it?

  • lovenergy - 2012-12-18 11:16

I am sick and tired of the fly by night political parties that feel they have the right to represent a certain cultural group. You do NOT represent me, I do not want to be classified as part of your movement because of the color of my skin or the language I speak. The ONLY party I support is the Green party, they are the only ones that represent me politically.

  • liezl.haramis.7 - 2012-12-18 11:29

Thabang, youre right!! We should have killed all the ANC activists...they were only bombers afterall themselves!! Including Mandela. Ig we were to keep on sustaining death sentence, some of you would have had no party to vote for but at least would have learned to spell! Idiots!

  • truthis.tway - 2012-12-18 11:31

  • Mvuselelo Mnguni - 2012-12-18 11:39

rofras is right, people of Cape townships requested army to be deployed as crime is high,Zille did not say anything, then farmworkers went on strike, the b**ch was on National Tv saying Zuma must deploy army there.is that how stupid South Africans are thought to be..

  • marc.a.webb.14 - 2012-12-18 11:50

@ Thabang justice when it suits you...How about we start hanging all the farm murderers the gallows would be busy for a long time!!!

  • Mvuselelo Mnguni - 2012-12-18 12:04

@jesibelle kruger,First I did not vote for them because of my reasoning skills I have, secondly U might have been in Orania on any enclosure where U were banned to hear and see anything after 1994,thirdly South Africa has wonderful White and Black people and also still have f**ed up White and Black people living in it,if U deny this fact, then go on smoking, snorting or drinking whatever U busy with.

  • DuToitCoetzee - 2012-12-18 12:23

To me this is confusing times. Bad or ever changing news. No one know if Madiba is ok. Where he is and if the info on him is all true. Division in the ANC congress. 2 provinces not sure on their legitimacy/rights. Out of the blue extremist gets caught, after their action where know for a while. 1st said that they planned to blow up part of conference and than denied by police. Why just before the voting? Vice-president only made him available for no. 1 job and if not successful? Maybe a brake away party....again? A new party called FFV who choose a name so close to the existing FF+, that has its leader in the cabinet. Senior NEC members that does not want to be so involved with their current system? Why does it feel we, South Africans, are watching a show with many dialogs? Why does it feel that a power play is going on while we, the normal citizens, only asking for an equal life, no racism, no corruption, no crime, jobs for all, land for all, peace and prosperity for all? Why does feel that the Ntuli's(read his ideas before commenting) of this world does not exist anymore. His ideas are only existing in writing today. Why do we all feel so separate and alone in this country while existing of plenty similar thoughts? Why must we brake down walls again and again because no-one is able to lead us forward? Why do we make our future footpath so difficult for our self or are there people who is doing it for us and we just excepting it? Why are we lacking in common sens???

      DuToitCoetzee - 2012-12-18 13:31

Sorry, correction. Luthuli. My spelling is "sh@# today.

  • werner.pretorius.12 - 2012-12-18 18:11

Ek is verbaas hul was net vier !
