Cops say Holland hanged herself

Johannesburg - More details have emerged from the police investigation into the death of well-known Johannesburg author and journalist, Heidi Holland, 64.

The Star reported that police believed she had hanged herself.

No suicide note was found at her home in Melville, where her body was found on Saturday morning.

“It will be up to the district surgeon to establish a time of death and how it happened,” said police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Katlego Mogale.

Holland’s friends have publicly expressed their shock and disbelief at her death, remembering her as vivacious and cheerful.

“I never knew of her to suffer depression and I’ve known her for three decades,” wrote journalist Charlene Smith on Facebook.

But a neighbour, David Ingham, said that she had appeared gaunt a month ago when they had met for a drink.

Holland was best known for her book Dinner with Mugabe.

Maybe its the spirits she dangled with that eventually haunted her...I mean look at the people she had to interview for her book "Dinner with Mugabe"...those are the spirits im refering to!

The Police must investigate this and make sure no foul play is involved.

"COPS SAY HOLLAND HANGED HERSELF" says the headline. ' "It will be up to the district surgeon to establish a time of death and how it happened,” said police spokesperson" ' says the article. The usual mediocre, misleading and moronic reporting as from News24

R.I.P. Sometimes when you are as strong as she was you never make room for your problems to flow to other people. "It will be over soon," we always tell ourselves.

Poor policing or is it the choice of words. In Justice we dont beleive or assume we prove beyond dought, and for that keep quiet till you have fact beyond dought
