Port Elizabeth - A couple are expected to appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court on Friday for allegedly being part of a syndicate that distributed images of babies being abused.The man, 33, the woman, 22, from Westering, Port Elizabeth, are allegedly part of an international child pornography ring that distributed footage of the torture, rape and murder of babies and newborns, according to Women and Men Against Child Abuse director Miranda Friedmann.Another accused in the matter, a Plettenberg Bay computer engineer, appeared in that town’s magistrate’s court on Wednesday. He was previously released on R10 000 bail and his case was postponed to May 12. Belgian police tracked the man, then contacted their counterparts in Gauteng, who arrested him in the seaside town on January 13."It's the worst we have come across. The first time we have seen the abuse of babies like this," Lieutenant-Colonel Heila Niemand was quoted as saying by Timeslive.Another man, from Midrand, Gauteng, appeared in court in connection with the matter on Wednesday.He would be back in court on July 17.
