Rustenburg - The EFF does not fear Higher Education and Training Minister Blade Nzimande, party leader Julius Malema said on Saturday.

"We do not fear death. In fact we want Blade, not the Young Communist League [YCL]. Blade has said the YCL must kill the EFF. There is no organisation called the YCL, or the ANC Youth League. We challenge Nzimande to ask the YCL to fill a hall in Soweto, if they can fill a hall we will speak to them," he told supporters at his party's second anniversary rally in Rustenburg.

He took a swipe at the SA Communist Party's secretary general, stating that while Nzimande drank red wine, the EFF was distributing red revolutionary T-shirts.

"The YCL does not exist, Blade thinks ghosts will come at night and terrorise us. We are not scared of death. We are looking for him."

He said the leadership of the YCL, ANCYL and the SA Student Congress (Sasco) were not politicians but job seekers, protecting President Jacob Zuma so that they could be appointed.

"There is no such thing as the progressive youth alliance. That thing died when they suspended Floyd Shivambu," Malema said.

He was speaking at the Olympia Stadium in Rustenburg where the EFF was celebrating the party's second anniversary on Saturday.
