Johannesburg - The case against a man accused of killing his girlfriend was postponed in the Willowvale Magistrate's Court on Monday, Eastern Cape police said.

The matter was postponed to 26 September for further investigation and he remained in custody, Captain Jackson Manatha said.

The 30-year-old man was arrested on Saturday.

He then took police to the area where the 26-year-old woman's decomposed body was found.

It was believed the couple had an argument a week ago before the man stabbed the woman to death, said Manatha.
