Johannesburg - A 39-year-old man facing 33 charges, including rape and murder, appeared in the Butterworth Magistrate's Court on Friday, Eastern Cape police said.

Captain Jackson Manatha said Bulelani Mabhayi was expected back in court on October 18. The case was postponed for further investigations.

"Mabhayi was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly murdered 55-year-old Boniswa Lubambo in her sleep on Saturday at the R1 Location, Tholeni Village."

Manatha said the charges included murder, rapes and housebreakings, crimes which he allegedly committed since 2007.

In china he would be executed the next day. Here he will get bail and a court date some time next year, lawyers will have to engaged. Etc etc etc. Police will lose the file and he will either get off and go do it all over again. Otherwise he will get life food at the taxpayers expense. Even Malema said it was better under the old regime
