Johannesburg - A drug-manufacturing laboratory with enough chemicals to produce cat (methcathinone) with a street value of R1m was raided in Germiston on Tuesday, Ekurhuleni metro police said.

"The discovery took place this morning around 11:00 where the police arrested two Nigerian nationals," Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago said.

Officers raided the house in Tecoma Street, Wychwood where two Nigerian men were found processing chemicals outside a Wendy house on the premises.

"The two were immediately arrested and the property intensively searched for more evidence."

Members of the forensic unit were fine-combing the yard, a car and the house to search for more evidence.

"Extensive investigations by the SAPS are envisaged with a view to making more arrests."

The two men, in their late 30s, were expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrate's Court soon.

75 per cent of nigerians in S.A are suspects

      Heiku - 2012-02-28 22:19

So if you have 100 nigerians lined up, how do you determine which 75 are 'suspects'? Do you just count from one end or do you randomise it?

Criminal synonym for Nigerian, seems like people over there are born to own prostitute rings, drug labs and scams. Nuke the whole west African region; 2/3rds of crime, world wide, will decrease

Hahaha..... Carlton, when Igbu and Yoruba was using metal in their weapons, Southern Africa was still using stones to cut skin. Maybe they are more advanced then locals, including the crime. Is that competition somehow bothers you? Maybe just calling West African as criminal is easier perhaps?

There's too much greed involved. Greed in one creates desperation in another. Greed and desperation perpetuate crime. How do we get rid of greed?
