Johannesburg - An elderly man was shot and wounded during a robbery in Knoppieslaagte, near Centurion, on Tuesday, Gauteng police said.
The 73-year-old was sleeping alone in his house when two armed men entered his bedroom, Constable Tumisang Moloto said.
They took a laptop computer, two cameras, two cellphones, and clothing, all worth about R39 000. They shot him in the upper body before fleeing. The man was taken to hospital.
No arrests had been made. Police were investigating cases of house robbery and attempted murder.
