Five killed in KZN collision

Johannesburg - Five people were killed in a collision between a car and bakkie on the R102 in iLembe on Sunday, Kwazulu-Natal emergency medical services said.

"The collision also left one person critically injured," said spokesperson Robert McKenzie.

He said the injured person was extricated from the vehicle with the jaws of life before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

The cause of the accident, which occured on the Newark turnoff, is being investigated.
