Cape Town - Four people were arrested for suspected drug dealing in central Cape Town, police said on Thursday.

Captain Frederick van Wyk said the three men and a woman were found in possession of various drugs at an apartment block on Somerset Road on Wednesday afternoon.

He said police found three bags of hydroponic dagga, three bags of mushrooms, cocaine, ecstasy and other drugs with a total street value of about R70 000.

The city is 'vrot' with drugs and my observations point at foreign nationals being the main suppliers. I can almost guarantee that if you work in the city centre, within a radius of 100m you will find evidence of drug peddling and abuse.

@Mart. The 'foreign nationals' are small time peddlars. The bust reported in this article also pales in comparison to the real deals. As a former addict and small time dealer, I can tell you the real drug dealers live in areas like Camps Bay and Constantia, and are not as dark as you think they are. Trust me these people, hiding in oppulant suburbia, 'legitimate' businesses and sending their kids to private schools, are the real kingpins in this industry.

Glad to hear these drugs are remaining readily available.

These people are heroes in the fight against the persecution of users of these drugs. Glad to say more dealers will quickly move in to replace them.
