Johannesburg - Two Coin Security guards were robbed during a shift change in Ficksburg on Friday morning, Free State police said.

Captain Phumelelo Dhlamini said the guards were robbed when they went to fetch another guard who was reporting for duty.

"While they were waiting in his yard, they were allegedly attacked and overpowered by four... men armed with firearms," he said.

The men took an undisclosed sum of money that was locked in the back of the security vehicle and fled.

The guards were not injured.

Dodgy... It's extremely dicey to fetch a colleague and your vehicle is "loaded" I doubt that is allowed by the procedures of the COIN.

How did these robbers knew about the cash in the car? At that time? At that place? They were ready and armed and waiting. Mmmmmm. I smell fish

@Pieter.. you are so right. In 90% of simular cases, after investigation it's always some one on the inside that has either done the planning or has given details of all aspects of money collections or transfers. So the strategy is now that all who work there are prime suspects.
