Gauteng SACP to act on SABC, Midvaal

2012-12-09 18:34

Johannesburg - The SACP said on Sunday it would take action after the SABC and Midvaal municipality failed to meet its demands.

It had protested against alleged corruption and service delivery failures in Midvaal, and for the dissolution of the SABC board as part of its Red October campaign.

The SA Communist Party's provincial executive committee (PEC) resolved at a meeting on Saturday to develop a political programme of action next year to ensure the demands were met, said the SACP's Gauteng secretary Mamabolo Jacob.

The PEC said the party had focused its activities on helping working class communities since its 10th provincial congress in April lending support to, among others, Lenasia south residents whose homes were demolished in November by the Gauteng housing department.

It resolved to meet the Lenasia Concerned Residents' Association for feedback and facts about the process, and to engage its alliance partners, the ANC and the Congress of SA Trade Unions on the matter.

The PEC also reaffirmed its support for the Cosatu action against the implementation of e-tolling on Gauteng highways, and called for safe, affordable and reliable public transport.

The Democratic Alliance was also discussed at the meeting, Jacob said.

"[The] PEC reaffirmed the character of the DA as the real and direct puppet that represents the interests of monopoly capital and those of imperialism to abort and weaken the [National Democratic Revolution]."

The committee resolved to work "tirelessly and consistently" to defeat imperialism.

Ha ha communists talking about democracy!

      JanGrimbeek - 2012-12-09 20:05

I notice they also mention "work" LOL.

      dewaldmontgomery - 2012-12-10 06:54

Yup. Somehow they think communism can be democracy - a democracy where the state prescribes and dictates economics, politics and even the lives of ordinary people, you and me. Lovely, isn't it... In fact, it's just the same democracy the ANC stands for: Afrodictohyponepocracy. And to the tax payer it's ineptocracy.

These eternal fools are about as relevant as a slingshot in a canon fight!

"[The] PEC reaffirmed the character of the DA as the real and direct puppet that represents the interests of monopoly capital and those of imperialism to abort and weaken the [National Democratic Revolution]." .....HUH? Am I having a slow Monday or does this just not make sense?

  • aiazmir - 2012-12-09 19:07

    Why is this even relevant?

  • obadia.segwape - 2012-12-09 19:09

CORRUPTION EVERYWHERE WAY OF LIFE FOR OUR COUNTRY I ALSO WANT TO BE CORRUPT BEEN ON THE SIDELINES FOR TO LONG JUST DONT KNOW WERE TO START

  • judith.taylor.56 - 2012-12-09 19:43

Why are these twits still around?

  • JanGrimbeek - 2012-12-09 20:01

"The committee resolved to work "tirelessly and consistently" to defeat imperialism." Yip, the tires(american spelling) (tyres) were used for necklaces boy, you'll have to do it on the rims only (tireless and maybe tubeless as well unless you want to use your lips for tubes).

  • avremel.niselow - 2012-12-09 20:10

I love how communists complain about imperialism, the Soviet Union took over more countries than any other in the 20th century.

      dewaldmontgomery - 2012-12-10 06:59

Or how they all drive luxury cars, live in mansions, drink expensive champaigne, eat in the best restaurants, and stay in five star hotels when they're not home. They're just hyper capitalists in disguise, just like all the other hyper capitalists (There's nothing wrong with capitalism as it stands. It just needs some tinkering). Except these morons claim to represent people that they don't. One fault of apartheyd that they will exploit to the very end (they do blame the fact that people are illiterate on apartheyd, don't they?)

  • tobydt - 2012-12-09 20:22

    Who voted for these fools?

      nicholas.graan - 2012-12-09 21:14

No one did, they hang onto the ANC's apron strings like a parasite, so we are stuck with them whether you want them or not.

  • msizi.luthuli.14 - 2012-12-09 20:22

    Rise SACP rise!!

      tobydt - 2012-12-09 20:29

The SACP is about 20 people strong. Without their alliance, they would have disbanded years ago.

      avremel.niselow - 2012-12-09 20:31

Wow msizi, do you really want an ideology which murdered over 100000000 people in charge of your country?

      nicholas.graan - 2012-12-09 21:15

The only thing that "rises" is the irritating voice of sycophant Blade Nzimande.

      dewaldmontgomery - 2012-12-10 06:48

Communism hasn't worked anywhere in the world. Because of greed and corruption. Even China is opening the doors for private business! And with greed and corruption already rampant in the ANC, I have no idea why the puppets of communism think it would be succesful. "It's about the workers" they say, but South Africa hardly has the productivity to compare of any of the FAILED communism states! Labour is a means of productivity they will tell us (economic principle) - however, useless labour isn't, and labour that must redo lazy and lax work, isn't either.

      blip.noodlum - 2012-12-10 09:18

Rise, and stand for office under your own banner.

  • chris.whittaker.9047 - 2012-12-09 20:27

A lot of noise from a political party that's too scared to participate in elections. If you want to interfere in Midvaal, or anywhere else, why don't you come out from under the ANCs skirts and put up a candidate in the next elections? Or are you too afraid that the lack of votes you receive will show how irrelevant you are?

  • douglas.reid.921 - 2012-12-09 20:37

SACP trying hard to be relevant. Communism is DEAD, these cretins use these opportunities to keep their jobs.

  • mark.mirage.71 - 2012-12-09 20:49

We support the call by our brothers, calling for action to be taken against the council of the Midvaal Municipality. There are serious concerns in respect of services delivery. No country can allow that all its citizens are not treated equally. As such we will make it a priority to contest for and take over the Municipality and as such ensure that those citizens living in the borders of Midvaal get equal treatment to our loyal followers elsewhere in the country .We have similar concerns regarding the Western Cape and will do our utmost to also equalize the standard of service delivered, there as well.

      avremel.niselow - 2012-12-09 20:56

Yes equal treatment means mass corruption and incompetence, but you'd be happy as everyone would be equal,

      tobydt - 2012-12-09 20:57

Midvaal was voted as the best run municipality in Gauteng, by the ANC... As for WCape, its the province with the best service delivery in South Africa... Rather focus on your own provinces, before you little lap dogs go barking up other trees.

      michael.i.wright - 2012-12-09 22:12

But , but, Mark, you ARE equal. Some are just more equal than others.

      dewaldmontgomery - 2012-12-10 06:51

We wish you would say the same upon ANC municipalities. And your concerns about the Western Cape is pointless. In Cape Town alone, only one or two wards in townships still vote for the racist and backward yellow green and gold corruption and greed brigade. So, several of your "fellow citizens" are voting for the DA even in the Western Cape. Like it or not. That's your problem.

  • Strikeback - 2012-12-09 21:11

SACP had a shelf life. It expired almost 20 years ago, hence the wrinkles on Blade Naimande's face. Who cares what they have to say. Www.strikeback.co.za

  • tobydt - 2012-12-09 21:30

The SACP is just trying to find enemies here, because without an enemy it has no cause, its worthless.

  • more.pido - 2012-12-09 22:04

communist by day en capitalist by nyt

  • michael.i.wright - 2012-12-09 22:10

"The committee resolved to work "tirelessly and consistently" to defeat imperialism." I'm guessing that was the punchline, right?

  • jason.marriott.75 - 2012-12-09 22:31

FFS that was a load of crap!!

  • emile.marais - 2012-12-10 00:28

Marikana didn't happen in Midvaal. The commies should go there.

  • willie.botha.9480 - 2012-12-10 04:50

Talking about puppets. I can see the ANC puppet master is working his puppets very well now. Wonder why ?

  • andrew.mackie.90 - 2012-12-10 07:17

A bunch of Red idiots protesting against one municipality for service delivery, have they not seen all the other protests going on? Take off your red blinkers and you as part of government should stop protesting and do some constructive action or work not just talk to help all the poor communities.

  • Terence Hermanus - 2012-12-10 08:01

how the hell can there still be a communist party in a democratic country which will never ever turn to communism... wtf people... levels of stupidity are breaking unheard of boundaries... the fact that they being taken noticed of by media astounds me... id watch paint dry...

  • blip.noodlum - 2012-12-10 09:17
