I bet SA taxi drivers break the road laws more in one day than the average person does in their entire life of driving, and it seems government and the metro are powerless to stop this behavior.

  • winifred.watson.9 - 2013-01-16 17:02

Very Sad, who cares about the damage to the taxi, damage can be repaired you cant bring back a life. R.I.P. little one and may your friend recover.

inb4 more posts on the spelling error than the story itself.

  • RyanBP - 2013-01-16 17:05

A shocking story like this, and all people can comment about is about the spelling. Really?

      Sharon - 2013-01-16 17:14

Exactly. Most of the comments on News24 have atrocious spelling and iffy grammar anyway. The article isn't about spelling.

      Rohin - 2013-01-16 17:25

crazy world we live in. I think it just gives people a feeling of superiority to point out errors WHEN IT DOESN'T MATTER.

i would bet money that he was overtaking on the left of stationary cars on the gravel verge. arrest him for one count of murder and another of attempt to murder. the only way these thugs will behave like humans is if there are repercussions to their actions.

Mini taxis are the scourge of SA and the government is partronizing them by being soft on them. have you ever heard the taxi drivers complain when the fuel prices increase? never, and a few years ago they would block highways when it happened!

      kent.paulsen.79 - 2013-01-16 17:47

I believe when the fuel price increases, the taxis get a bigger rebate so as not to antagonize the taxis. That is why they are not complaining and blocking the highways.

      grace.andtruth.77 - 2013-01-16 18:22

The ANC is like the Mafia... They probably get their cut, that's why nothing is done! They kill more people than drunk drivers (not condoning drinking and driving - just comparing)
