Girl's attackers 'drank her blood'

2013-03-06 08:23

Johannesburg - The family of a murdered West Rand schoolgirl have told of their horror at hearing that her murderers had drunk blood from her body after stabbing her.

Keamogetswe Sefularo was stabbed in the neck, chest and stomach but lived long enough to tell her mother who her attackers were, The Times reported on Wednesday.

The murdered teen's brother, Zali Nxabi, 28, said the family were holding a prayer meeting at their home when a friend of his murdered sister ran into the house and told them that “their leader” had instructed them to kill her. The family recorded the conversation.

"She [the friend] said the leader and the girl who did the stabbing sucked Keamo's blood from [a wound] on her neck," said Nxabi.

He said he had heard rumours of satanic activity in the area but never thought it would affect his family.

"Her friend even told us that she knew nothing about their cult and that their leader had always been after Keamo's blood."

Pupils suspended

Ten pupils from Lukhanyo Secondary School were suspended on Tuesday for participating in "harmful religious practices", SABC news reported.

The murdered girl’s mother, Julia Sefularo, described her daughter as “sweet” and told how she had loved to sing gospel songs.

"She would randomly ask that we sing hymns while doing chores around the house. Her favourite hymn was Modimo Haa Le Teng Haa Yo Mathatha [Whenever God is around, there are no problems]," said Sefularo.

She said her daughter was told the reason she was stabbed and left to die in the veld was that she hung out with Satanists.

A 15-year-old girl appeared briefly in the Randfontein Magistrate's Court on Tuesday in connection with the murder. The case was postponed to 12 March so that a social worker can compile a report.

Will our kids be safe? All we can do now is to work hard, make enough money so our kids have tutors at home. Parents please know who your children hang out with, where they come from, what kind of family they are raised in, the kind of activities that their friends does. Call it controlling but right now in SA this is all we can do and teach them the power of their instincts.

These are some of our voters. Christians are told to pray for our government so that we can live in peace. Pray so that men and woman with a valid moral compass can be appointed to positions of authority. Also, pray for parents to be upright examples to their children. Everybody else wants somebody else to resolve the decline. That's you, Christian.

Dilligaf if im rewading your responses u mean to say that its their own fault that these people did this because they lead by example? In the bible Jesus didnt cut of His arm and give it to them it was symbolic. the same as they have it now. How can u even start to say that, how dare you take something that has beem symbolic for many years and turn it around for a defense.

      juanroux.greyling - 2013-03-06 11:18

Yes because His (Jesus) blood was already spilled. And its SYMBOLIC. Nowhere in the bible it says that you should Kill someone and drink their blood. Heve you ever heard of Christains killing people and drinking their blood because "they use to eat bread and drink wine at church"? Get educated before making stupid comments. Read your bible @DILLIGAF

      Lanfear Mierin - 2013-03-06 09:43

No its not about "bibles in schools"! Why were these kids not taught about the morality at home? If you believe in a christian upbringing, teach your children about god and the bible at home. Schools have no need for teaching religions! That is the job of the parents. Pity that so many parents have become so self-absorbed and lazy that they are not involved in their children's education anymore.

      Sean Potgieter - 2013-03-06 09:50

I strongly suspect the solution is to instill children with a healthy respect and appreciation of Scripture. I don't think Bible ed will ever return to schools. Besides, I don't recall actually learning anything useful in Bible ed that wasn't already known to me. The home is where the foundation should be built, not at some public institution.

      samantha.ungerer.1 - 2013-03-06 11:05

you must be an understanding is that Satanism was playing a role, how you can say the child had to die for Religion is not atheists are so full of hatred towards christianity that you will spew any type of LIE .billions of people are blindfolded and a few million prehaps, of atheists have the right answers?

      treveshan - 2013-03-06 10:19

I am sorry Raymond, I do not understand what you are saying. I will interpret what I can. No I am not an Atheist, nor am I religious. I am a person who believes a power exists in the Universe that is greater than ourselves, and effects us here on Earth. I have no hatred towards people who choose to believe in organised religion. My discontent is directed towards those who choose to interpret what should have been guidelines for moral code as excuses (or calls) to murder, rape, control, enslave or threaten. My discontent is directed towards those who use religion as a means to stifle scientific progress, the rights of women and the rights of gay people. People are blinded their pastors/priests/imams/rabbis or whoever it is is feeding them their gospel, that they can not see the atrocities caused by other blind followers. FYI Satanism is a religion too.

  • Eric Van Der Worp - 2013-03-06 09:02

If god did come down and "sort things out" , he would be a controlling , evil god. We have free will, we choose our own way between good and evil and the situation that determines which is which. When you brainwash children (our LEADER told us to do it) with the massive amounts of killing and death on television , news and radio, what do you expect they will do ? there is no such thing as "fake" for children and television is REAL to them. When our LEADERS are blatant psychopaths and our corporate LEADERS destroy ALL in the name of profit, what do you honestly expect? Kindness and honesty? When those that are kind are murdered, raped and killed? The only possible consequence for all of us without the truth (which is very very hidden from all of us , mainstream LIES all the time) is to believe that we have to be like these psychopaths to survive. God is around all of us everywhere at all times inside and outside of us. It is your CHOICE, there is no "authority" that can take care of you, that can make your decisions for you, that can pat you on the back and "reward" you for doing the right thing. You either choose to do the right thing and grow spiritually or you can choose to do the wrong thing, thinking no-one is "watching" and feel your soul slowly dying. Remember, 90% of all crimes are committed by less than 10% of the population. A small amount of evil people can reak havoc with a great amount of good people, when the good people DO NOT EXPOSE LIES TO THE LIGHT OF TRUTH!!

      Raymond Fourie - 2013-03-06 09:52

you have a weird understanding of God.of course God is in control, what is the sense of being God and you have no authority.God can never be evil, you are wicked.yes we have our own free will, choose to serve God or reject use you have the free will and then choose wrong because if the satan gets hold of you, you are a "gonner"don't look for the problem at the door of the gov, they are heathens, atheists, and communists.television is one of satans advertising methods.God is the authority,if you stay in Him you will make the right decisions.yes God is around and always there for us,trust in Him and not in your own strength because then you will fail.God is the Authority He will take good care of you if you trust, believe and worship don't do right things to get a pat on the back, you do it because Godv expects from you do behave well.

There is an atheist guy who always comment whenever there is a story on a Christian religion. This is a religious story and yet he has not commented a thing yet, or is he only obsessed with Christianity and cool with other religions like the one in casu?

      Sean Potgieter - 2013-03-06 09:21

Christianity is the preferred target since it is focused on outgoing love and "turning the other cheek". It's easy to attack people who are required to love even their enemies. But one a side note, people need to find the truth instead of relying wholly on religion. I agree with atheists on certain topics regarding religion, because there are some serious issues that need addressing.

      schmee.gol - 2013-03-06 12:24

My atheistic view on this is that it's just plain gang activity. As soon as we add the word cult it somehow seems to exonerate the perpetrators. Just look at the Lotter kids. They got off lightly even though they killed their own parents. Take Christianity or Satanism out of it and we just have a gang of kids that will kill to please the gang leader.

Satanism is alive and kicking especially among school children - It's time for us as Parents to pray and monitor our children - There are signs for it - firstly they loose appetite - because i believe they are told not to eat normal food - then when your child starts loosing appetite - behaving very funny - aggressive/always want's to be with his friends you don't know - those are some of the signs - be very carefull

      My opinion is........... - 2013-03-06 11:37

Perhaps you should get knowledge? Go read the satanic bible written by Anton La Vey and go to Satans church website or read interviews done with the high pries Peter Gilmore, you have NO idea what YOU are talking about. It is 2013, teach children about real satanism because there are people out there that mislead children, if you do that these children won't think being a satanist is cool at all, satanists do not believe in the devil, they are normal people like you and me.

To the commentators suggesting that removing the bible from schools is the problem I have a suggestion. Why not give your child bible study in the comfort of your own home. You would not just teach your child the moral values you deem fit, you would actually spend quality time with your child. The solution starts at home. Stop trying to shift blame because you as a parent are just to damn lazy.

  • Psalm Proverb - 2013-03-06 09:27

I really don't know why South Africans are so shocked by this. You see, before the ANC, atheists and liberals pushed for TRUE Christian Instruction to be removed from public schools, Christian teachers of Religious Instruction/Studies actually used to take the time to warn kids against the occult. Now, there is no basis for such an approach, as it would amount to "religious discrimination". Afterall, with the rise in "religious relativism", no teacher can staunchly proclaim the absolute truth of the Gospel to young kids in public schools. One cannot even claim that worshipping satan is "evil", as satanists can also claim freedom of religion. I went to schools where Christian teachers took these things seriously. We were warned about satanism and the occult from as early as primary school. Our teachers were uncompromising and unapologetic in their presentation of the Gospel and clear distinction of "good" and "evil". Not all believed. Still, I know from accounts that their stand saved the lives of several kids who, while not believing the Gospel and the absolute standards it presents, still accepted the premise that what the Christian teachers said was "evil" (i.e. various forms of the occult, etc), could only be bad for them.

      ingwe - 2013-03-06 11:32

You are saying that you were properly indoctrinated in school?

      Psalm Proverb - 2013-03-06 11:47

@ Ingwe, It is a sad indictment on the quality of parenting, when warnings against the occult - warnings that definitely saved the lives of some kids - is merely dismissed as "indoctrination". On this standard of parenting, no one should warn any child against drugs, gangstarism, as these are nothing more than indoctrination. No wonder our country is in the state it is in.

Losing our heads because of Christianity is the pathway to lynchings, burnings and crusades; as a civilised society, we don't indulge such things anymore. This has nothing to do with God, it has everything to do with mentally disturbed people who must be punished under the full extent of the law.

We live in a sick world, seriously people, you dont just go around killing people because "you heard a rumor", There is not enough prayer to go around for all the violence and crime happening in SA and the rest of the World.

Keep the lines of communication with your children open. Stay in touch with what's happening in their lives...if they put up a "do not disturb" sign on the door, respect that but.. Go through the window ;-)!

The dark ages are upon us. The crazies don't even wait for full moon to do their thing anymore. Bloody savages. Another wasted life and for what?.
