Glider pilot killed near Potch identified

Johannesburg – The glider pilot killed when his aircraft crashed near Potchefstroom on Sunday has been identified as William Scott.

He was a long-standing member of the Akavlieg Potchefstroom glider club, chairperson Johan Badenhorst said on Monday.

He was on a pleasure flight at the time.

ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said he died on the scene about 3km from the city.
