Johannesburg - The case against the Goodman Gallery security guard arrested for assaulting the man who damaged The Spear was postponed to June 29 in the Hillbrow Magistrate's Court on Monday.

Paul Molesiwa from Core Tactical, a private security company, is out on R1 000 bail.

He is charged with attacking Louis Mabokela who defaced Brett Murray's painting of President Jacob Zuma with exposed genitals.

Molesiwa's lawyer, Rod Montano, said his client was the second guard trying to restrain Mabokela.

"The guards were briefed that morning of bomb threats and death threats at the gallery. It is our contention he was doing his job."

That guard needs a proper street lesson. He is the most dumb and stupid man ever. How do you defend the indefensible?

He was never asked his opinion, it was just part of that day's job. He did not paint, protest, publicise or vandalise. He's the only person in this whole story who was actually minding his own business.

Meanwhile back in the real world our president is out of the shower, his member all zipped away and is reported to be learning Chinese as it may be more spoken than English which we don't need to know if we speak Zulu. The spear thing has come to a tearful end and now we are all waiting for the next ANC blunder...... any news on the e-tolling revival. Another day in comic land. case postponed . can we never get anyting done first time.

There are a few grey areas between resiting arrest and assault. It might help to see the whole videon and not just the edited version. We did not see another guard?

Why does news24 delete my posts? I was and am never deragotory, I don't use foul language. What does news24 get to gain by removing posts that actually call for peace. I will state it again, the violence at the gallery was a direct result of our past, where black people were taught by an evil system to hate themselves. How will our country ever improve if its citizenry is still to love itself? How will people learn to love the country and their neighbours if they don't love themselves. Teach the victims of apartheid, non whites in general and blacks in particular, their worth, their will see crime rates drop, education levels rise, prosperity increase. If news24 has a problem with this it can go right ahead and delete it, to my fellow blacks, I urge us all to unite and learn to love one another, to realise white people are not any better than us, therefore we do not have to get caught in political currents of other groups other than ourselves. Improve yourselves, your children next, your neighbour, your community and the rest will fall into place. We don't need government or whites to make our particular condition better. We only need each other
