Henning murder case recommences

2015-01-15 08:43

Pretoria - Murder accused Nico Henning is expected back in the Pretoria District Court on Thursday after a two-month postponement.

During his last appearance in November, prosecutor Gerrie Nel asked for the matter to be postponed as the State was not ready to serve Henning's defence team with the indictment.

It was expected to be formally served on Thursday.

The matter would then be transferred to the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria, with 8 July to 12 July set down as the provisional dates for the trial.

Henning is to be tried for the murder of his estranged wife Chanelle Henning and conspiracy to commit murder.

The 26-year-old mother was killed in a drive-by shooting shortly after dropping off their child at a creche in Faerie Glen, Pretoria, in November 2011.

Nico Henning's friend Andre Gouws, 49, and Nigerian former athlete Ambrose Monye have both been sentenced to life in prison for the murder.

Two other men, Gerhardus "Doepie" du Plessis and Willem "Pike" Pieterse, are serving 18-year prison terms after confessing to their roles in the killing.

There are so many wife (and partner) murderers whose fragile ego's are never to be bruised, no matter what. To be a successful gangster, one has to think of onesself only and always, and as can be seen in this case, where acute self-centredness could not be arrested, even when it came to taking a decision to take away ones own son's mother, in the most brutal fashion. The sociopath gangster-murderer who is Nico Henning needs to suffer in jail for the rest of his days, during which time he will be allowed only the grace to contemplate where he wishes to spend his eternity. Vat hom, Gerrie!

Wonder if Nel will put as much time in as he did with Pistorius. This man is pure evil. He has made his son an orphan, a little boy who is innocent and who will never see his mommy again. A little boy whose last memory was of mommy kissing him good bye when dropping him off at school..... evil man

The big fish that has been hiding in the reeds whilst his money sees the minnows get gobbled up, has finally been flushed out. He should not concern himself, however, as the steps in front of him lead straight back into the same darkness of the reeds...

Guys. Unfortunately he's innocent until proved guilty. As was Oscar. As is that guy whose partner was killed in Mauritius. Let's hope the hotshot prosecutor Nel doesn't botch this one.
