Cape Town - Shrien Dewani’s profile on a dating website for gay and bisexual persons stated that he was “submissive, filthy-minded and perverted”, a report on Friday said.

The murder-accused millionaire used the logon "asiansubguy" to surf Gaydar, Sapa reports.

According to his plea explanation which was submitted to the Western Cape High Court, Dewani was on the website two days after his wife Anni Dewani was murdered and one day after her body was found.

The Daily Mail reports that a profile cited as being his stated he was looking to hook up with men aged between 18 and 99-years-old “for 1-on-1 sex, group sex or other activities... with single gays or bisexuals”.

In the profile, Dewani said he was a “submissive cocksucker, filthy-minded and perverted” and was looking for partners who share the same taste “but safe”.

He deactivated his account a week after her murder.

Dewani pleaded not guilty on Monday to killing Anni in Cape Town in 2010, and other related charges.

He is charged with murder, kidnapping, robbery with aggravating circumstances, and conspiracy to commit these crimes. He is also charged with defeating the ends of justice, Sapa reports.

Fetish website

There were also log-ins on the website, Recon, which claims it is the “world’s largest hook-up site for men into fetish gear” late on 15 and 16 November 2010, Sapa reports his admissions as stating.

On the first day of his trial, Dewani said in his plea explanation that he was bisexual and had had sexual interactions with both men and women.

"My sexual interactions with males were mostly physical experiences or e-mail chats with people I met online or in clubs; including prostitutes such as Leipold Leisser," lawyer Francois van Zyl said, reading Dewani's plea explanation to the court.

"My sexual interactions with females were usually during the course of a relationship which consisted of other activities and emotional attachment."

He met Anni on 30 May 2009 after a mutual friend gave him her contact details.

In his plea explanation, he said he was instantly physically attracted to her on their first date, loved her bubbly personality and sensed there was mutual chemistry.
