Port Elizabeth – The first man arrested for his involvement in the murder of Jayde Panayiotou made another brief appearance in court on Thursday morning.

No photographers were allowed in court when Thando Siyoli, 31, appeared in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court.

This is in contrast to the previous appearances of the two other suspects in the case, Jayde's 28-year-old husband Christopher Panayiotou, and 30-year-old Sizwezakhe Vumazonke, earlier in the week, where photographers were allowed to take pictures.

Siyoli, believed to have been a bouncer at Panayiotou’s Infinity Bar in Algoa Park, was arrested in Kwazakele early last week.

He is believed to have turned state witness and apparently assisted police with a sting operation that led to the subsequent arrest of Christopher on Wednesday night last week.

Siyoli’s next appearance has been scheduled for June 19, which coincides with the court date set for both Panayiotou and Vumazonke.
